Stewart Crossing is a small service community at one of the most important road junctions in the Yukon: the point where the Klondike Highway meets the Silver Trail east to Mayo and Keno City. It is the last fuel stop before Dawson City from the south, the gateway to the Silver Trail, and a quiet place with more history beneath it than its modest present suggests.
