The Klondike Highway Guide

From Skagway through the White Pass to Dawson City — the gold rush road

The Klondike Highway is the Yukon's spine — 715 kilometres from the Alaska panhandle to the goldfields of Dawson City, following (roughly) the route tens of thousands of gold rush stampeders took in 1897 and 1898. Driving it today is one of the great road trips in North America: mountain passes, river crossings, historic communities, and the gradual revelation of the northern landscape.
