The Beaver Creek Travel Guide
Canada's westernmost community, where the Alaska Highway meets the border
Beaver Creek holds a geographic distinction that few places can claim: it is the westernmost community in Canada. Sitting at kilometre 1937 of the Alaska Highway, just 27 kilometres from the Alaska border crossing at Snag Junction, it is the last Canadian stop on one of North America's great road journeys — and the first for travellers arriving from Alaska. The White River First Nation and the Alaska Highway together define this small but significant community.
